Typical warehouse & distribution centres need to receive, store, pick & ship all kinds of products. This can be both business to business (B2B) as well as business to the end-user (B2C).
Our wide range of warehouse conveyors is used to create all the links between these processes, and cater for a wide variation in SKU movement rates & types, across a wide range of product distribution:
One of the UK’s leading distributors of dental health care products in the UK has, over the past four years, integrated in excess of 1Km of standard Conveyor Units’ Conveyor modules for both stock replenishment and order picking at its 50,000 square foot distribution centre.
Working closely with one of our leading Conveyor Units integrator partners, the initial system involved switching from an existing system and re-routing orders to a newly developed unit, incorporating ten pick stations over two levels using our warehouse conveyors.
The system is designed to handle both standard plastic totes and cardboard boxes with weights ranging from empty up to a maximum of 25Kg, based on a 1500 product per hour throughput. Further additions to the site including brand new goods inwards unit incorporating Conveyor Units’ belt conveyors and 24 volt zero line pressure conveyors and also various modules to its revamped bulk invoicing and despatch conveyors. The majority of conveyors specified for this site are 24 volt zero pressure type. The client is particularly happy as the units are virtually maintenance free and offer fantastic reliability.
